What's in my travel bag 2012

Hi Ladies!

I will be going on vacation home to South Tyrol, Italy - to Hotel Mommy - as we call it in German. :-)

My sister will be there with my little niece and we will all be playing makeup (I am sure my one year old niece will have fun "applying" lipstick, too! :-)

Yesterday I packed my suitcase and my makeup, I am taking a lot, because - between the four of us - my mom, my sister, (my niece) and me - we'll be needing some choice, right?

So here we go: the colors of the eyeshadow palettes are basically matched to the colors of the clothes I am taking: lots of coral and navy tops and dresses. The Naked Palettes I threw in there because you can never be wrong with those.

MAC Cremesheen & Pearl Collection

Hello my Lovelies!

I went to the MAC Preview Party for the Styleseeker Collection on Wednesday, together with Lilly, Nyota and Renate. It's always fun when you go in a bunch, you can do a lot of swatching together and say very important things like "Oh my god, this eyeshadow is life-changing"... ;-)
I remember when I went all alone and didn't know anybody, that was half the fun!
It took us a while to get to everything because, as usual, it was packed, and also because there were many new collections on display:

Styleseeker
Cremesheen & Pearl
Nail Lacquer
Face & Body

By the end of the evening we had successfully managed to fill our hands and nails with swatches, we had even painted over our carefully manicured nails in order to see what the new nail lacquers look like. :-)

The four of us were all drawn to different collections, Lilly, for example was all over the new Face & Body products, Renate on the other hand really liked the Nail Lacquer Collection.

Me, I was immediately drawn to the Cremesheen and Pearl Collection because, of course, if you know me, I like (*edit LOVE) corals! Not that I don't have enough, but I figure, if corals ever go out of style, at least I have enough lipsticks for the rest of my life! So if corals are ever dead, I will scream: Long live corals!

Here are the lipsticks I picked:

For Cremesheens these are kind of sheer, but I don't mind that, I like sheer lipstick formulas. For the swatches I had to swipe the colors across my skin several times so they would show up decently.

The color I am most excited about is "Saigon Summer", firstly because I went to Vietnam this past spring, haha, but also because this is my first truly orange lipstick, and since it's rather sheer, I am not afraid of it, I think I could never pull off an opaque orange lipstick like MAC Morange.

So here are the swatches:

Here is a swatch of Shanghai Spice:

Here is a swatch of Saigon Summer:

Of course we were all curious what our fellow bloggers purchased while we were there, so we all excitedly looked into each others shopping bags.
It was like a live version of "What's in my Shopping Bag".
The other bloggers who were there were:

MAC Gerngross is already selling the new collections, the rest of the Viennese MACs will start selling tomorrow, September 1.

Canyoning in Lunz am See

Hi there!

For those of you who wanted to see the Canyoning trip pictures, here we go! I am nowhere to be seen since I was the only one taking photos, that's the fate of a photographer :-)

I had a one-way underwater camera which I had bought at dm for about 5 Euros, it was quite exciting to take it to the store after the trip to get the pictures developed! I haven't done that in a long long time!

We took the trip two weekends ago, it was freezing cold, the temperature had dropped considerably on that day and the torrent had about 10 degrees Celcius (50 degrees Fahrenheit). I was the only girl in the bunch, and the guide gave me 3 wetsuits to wear because "women are always cold" :o)
The guys only wore 2 wetsuits.

But enough of the talk, here come the pictures.

Essie "Poppy Razzi" Collection

Hello my Lovelies!

I went and got the whole Essie Nail Polish Collection Poppy Razzi, all 4 shades, I couldn't resist, and today I am wearing all of them! What a tropical fruit cocktail on my nails, I love it!

These are the shades:

My swatches aren't the best, I realize, you can't really tell a difference between Camera and Bazooka, but there is one!

For better swatches and color descriptions please refer to:

I will say one thing: I really like the brushes Essie came up with, wide and rounded, it makes applying nail polish that much easier.

As for products used:
1 coat of Essence Nail Art Protecting Base Coat
2 coats of Essie polish (for Action I used 3)
1 coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Coat
